Floors and Surfaces
Raymonda® - Sprung Dance Floor
A sprung dance floor that protects every landing and returns energy to every jump. Professional stability with even cushioning - no hard impacts, no vibrations, no compromises.
What we solve
Floors without a sprung construction do not provide sufficient impact absorption, leading to faster fatigue and a higher risk of joint and muscle injury during long training sessions and performances.
For whom
Dance studios, stages and performance spaces where emphasis is placed on the safety, performance and comfort of dancers.
Solution
A professional sprung floor system with a foam layer bonded to a wooden surface, optionally supplemented by a rubber-cork underlay for maximum step comfort.
Result
A balanced solution between impact absorption and surface stability. A floor for everyday professional use and demanding stage productions.
Key features
- Optimised resilience - the construction absorbs impacts even from very dynamic movement while maintaining the controlled feel of a professional floor
- Reduced stress on joints and muscles - the resilient layer distributes landing forces and helps prevent injuries
- Stable and consistent performance - the baletizol and wooden board layer provides a flat surface with consistent response
- Robust and long-term reliability - the layered construction withstands regular loads without deformation or loss of resilience
Technical advantages
Impact absorption even during intensive use
The floor acts as a semi-sprung system that absorbs energy when a dancer lands and returns it in a controlled, cushioned manner. This contributes both to safety and to energy efficiency during jumps and landings.
Combining sensitivity and stability
Thanks to the layered construction, hard spots are minimised during dancing, while the surface remains stable and consistent for different dance styles.
Versatile use
Raymonda is suitable for a wide range of dance disciplines - from ballet and contemporary dance to musical and stage productions - wherever a professional dance surface with a cushioning effect is required.
Available in two variants
Raymonda® with rubber-cork underlay
Variant with a 3mm rubber-cork underlay installed between the baletizol and the top wooden board. Gives the floor a comfortable feel underfoot and provides better thermal insulation.
Raymonda® without rubber-cork underlay
Designed for situations where purchase price is a priority, while protection of dancers' healthy joints remains paramount.
Why a professional floor makes sense
Floors without a sprung construction - such as concrete or standard hard floors - provide no or insufficient impact absorption, leading to faster fatigue and a higher risk of injury. A professional sprung dance floor system is therefore the standard in professional dance studios and schools worldwide.
The Raymonda® sprung dance floor represents a balanced solution between impact absorption and surface stability. It is built for everyday use by professional dancers and for demanding stage productions where emphasis is placed on safety, performance and movement comfort.
