Ballet halls and exercise studios

Barre studios

Complete turnkey barre studio fit-out. Ballet barres, mirror wall, dance floor, curtains and sound from a single supplier, from design to installation.

What we solve

Barre combines ballet, pilates and cardio. Classes take place at the ballet barre, in front of a mirror and often barefoot. A studio therefore needs different equipment than an ordinary gym, and it has to withstand a full class schedule every day.

For whom

Barre and pilates studios, fitness centres offering barre classes, yoga and wellness studios, hotel gyms, dance schools adding barre to their programme.

Solution

We fit out the whole studio: ballet barres from our own workshop, custom safety mirrors, a non-slip dance floor, curtains for privacy and atmosphere, and sound for the room. Everything coordinated as one project.

Result

A barre studio ready for its first class. Barres at the right height for every client, mirrors without distracting joints, a floor that is gentle on the joints, and a space that looks professional.

What we offer

  • Layout of barres, mirrors and floor based on the studio floor plan
  • Wall-mounted ballet barres at one or two heights, brackets from our own workshop
  • Mobile and free-standing barres for classes in the middle of the room
  • Mirror wall with surface bonding and pre-drilled holes for barres
  • Dance floor suitable for barefoot and sock training
  • Curtains, blackout and sound for the room
  • Turnkey installation including coordination with other trades

What barre is and what a studio needs

Barre is an exercise method combining elements of ballet, pilates and cardio. Most standing exercises are done with the support of a ballet barre; small isometric movements strengthen the deep muscles and protect the joints. Classes are held in groups in front of a mirror, often barefoot or in grip socks.

Barre studio equipment therefore builds on the ballet hall, but has its own specifics. Clients vary in height, so double barres are useful. The barre must withstand a whole group leaning on it at once. The floor must not slip under a bare foot and yet must absorb impact. And since this is a commercial operation, first impressions matter too.

How the fit-out works

We start with the floor plan and the schedule: how many clients train at once, where the instructor stands, where people walk. From that we design the barre length, bracket spacing, mirror dimensions and floor build-up. You receive the design with an itemised budget, so the fit-out can be split into stages.

We plan the installation so the trades follow each other: first the floor, then the mirrors with holes for the brackets, finally the barres, curtains and sound. When refurbishing a running studio we work between classes or at the weekend. We fit out ballet halls for theatres and dance schools the same way, where the demands are even higher.

Why fit out your studio with us

One supplier

Barres, mirrors, floor, textiles and sound from one company. One budget, one deadline, one responsibility.

Barres from our own workshop

We make the brackets and stands ourselves, so we can adapt height, shape and colour and supply a spare part even years later.

Ballet hall experience

For over 30 years we have equipped theatre rehearsal rooms and dance schools. A barre studio gets the same quality, scaled to a commercial operation.
