Raymonda® – Sprung Dance Floor

Raymonda® – Sprung Dance Floor

Raymonda® is a sprung dance floor that protects every landing and returns energy to every jump.
Dance on a surface that combines professional stability with even shock absorption — without hard impacts, without vibrations, without compromise.

A professional solution for dance

The Raymonda® sprung dance floor is a professional flooring system designed specifically for dance studios, stages and performance spaces where safety, performance and dancer comfort are essential.

Thanks to its carefully engineered construction, it provides effective shock absorption and controlled energy return during jumps, turns and long-term repetitive load. This significantly reduces fatigue and lowers the risk of joint and muscle strain during rehearsals and performances.

Available in two versions

Raymonda® with 3 mm rubber-cork underlay

This version includes a rubber-cork layer installed between the dance surface and the upper structural layer, providing:

  • enhanced underfoot comfort

  • improved thermal insulation

  • increased comfort during prolonged use

Raymonda® without rubber-cork underlay

A cost-effective solution for projects where budget efficiency is important, while still maintaining a clear commitment to what matters most:
protecting the health and joints of dancers.

Key features

  • Optimised resilience and floor sensitivity
The construction absorbs impacts even during highly dynamic movement while maintaining the controlled “feel” expected from a professional dance floor.

  • Reduced stress on joints and muscles
The resilient structure distributes impact forces, significantly reducing long-term physical strain and helping to prevent injuries.

  • Stable and uniform performance
Precisely defined layers ensure a flat, solid working surface with consistent response across the entire floor area.

  • Robust and long-term reliability
The layered construction is designed to withstand regular professional use without deformation or loss of performance.

Technical advantages

Shock absorption under intensive use

The floor functions as a semi-sprung system that absorbs impact energy on landing and returns it in a controlled manner — contributing to both dancer safety and energy efficiency during jumps.

Balance of sensitivity and stability

The layered design minimises hard spots while keeping the surface stable and predictable for different dance techniques.

Versatile application

Suitable for a wide range of dance disciplines — from ballet and contemporary dance to musical theatre and stage productions — wherever a professional sprung dance surface is required.

Why a professional dance floor matters

Floors without a resilient construction (such as concrete or rigid flooring systems) provide little or no shock absorption, leading to faster fatigue and a higher risk of injury.
A professional sprung dance floor is therefore the standard solution in professional dance studios and schools worldwide.

Summary

The Raymonda® sprung dance floor represents a balanced combination of impact absorption and surface stability. It is designed for everyday professional use by dancers as well as for demanding stage productions where safety, performance and movement comfort are essential.
